Product Leader & Operator in Music Technology

Los Angeles, CA

I'm a product leader and operator with 10+ years of experience building technology for the music industry. I've shipped products at Amazon Music and Luminate (Nielsen Music), and I'm currently leading Product & Operations at Notes, where we're tackling one of the industry's biggest challenges: financial clarity for musicians.

My background blends product management, analytics, and business operations. Across every role, I've been drawn to the same goal: helping musicians get paid fairly. I also tend to be the person who builds the processes that help teams work better together.

Outside of work, I'm a live music enthusiast, forever Spanish language student, meditation & yoga practitioner, and 100% cat person. More about me →

Operations & Product

2024 – Present

Current

Notes is a music technology platform helping musicians and industry companies locate and claim unclaimed music royalties. As an early team member, I work across operations, product strategy, business development, and general management — wearing whatever hat the day requires.

  • Partnered with engineering and business teams to develop our Catalog Review feature, translating nuanced royalty registration rules into logic that identifies where musicians are missing money — 94% of users have surfaced royalty issues they didn't know existed
  • Managing the integration of Stripe products (Billing, Connect, and Financial Accounts) into the Notes platform, navigating fintech compliance and building the payment infrastructure that lets musicians collect what they're owed
  • Creating a thoughtful and agile product roadmap spanning catalog management, royalty identification, and payment collection
  • Setting up how the team works — project tracking, coordination systems, and making sure the right projects move at the right time as the company scales
  • Managing financial operations, corporate compliance, contractor relationships, and customer onboarding

Career History

Senior Technical Product Manager | Amazon Music

April 2022 – November 2023

I led product for Amazon Music for Artists, a globally available web and mobile app serving artists across 7 languages. My focus was on connecting Amazon's retail strength with the artist community and building the processes that helped a new, growing team ship with confidence.

  • Launched Merch Curation, integrating Amazon's retail platform into a tool used by 40,000+ artists worldwide — helping musicians earn more through their profiles and leading to a 20% increase in profiles with official merchandise
  • Created a Product Development Lifecycle that gave engineers, UX, marketing, and QA a real voice at every stage — improving morale and making sure ideas didn't die on the backlog
  • Reduced bug backlog by over 80% in 1.5 years by running a tight, honest backlog and closing items the team agreed would never get fixed
  • Designed, executed, and analyzed A/B tests for artist-to-fan CRM tools to inform feature prioritization

Product Manager | Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music)

August 2017 – April 2022

I owned the roadmap for the Music Connect API, a core B2B product providing music streaming, sales, airplay, and chart data to the industry. When I started, the API was a custom build for one large customer — nobody was product managing it and the team wasn't treating it as a real revenue stream. I taught myself API product management and turned it into a product that served multiple segments of the music industry.

  • Launched six API endpoints and oversaw 30+ custom data feeds, leading to a 2X increase in customer base and $1.6M revenue boost
  • Led the global launch of Luminate's streaming dataset and two Global Billboard Charts — the first of their kind — coordinating across product, engineering, and operations with 60+ countries reporting
  • Retired SoundScan, a nearly 30-year-old legacy product that didn't even have streaming data. Managed the customer transition by building key features into Music Connect and training users on the new platform
  • Managed and mentored one Product Business Analyst

Data Science Emerging Leaders Associate | Nielsen

July 2015 – August 2017

Rotational program applying data science across Nielsen's media and telecom businesses. Transitioned to the Nielsen Music team in the final six months, which set the course for everything that came after.
